Frank earns favourtism

Young Lara trainer Tim Britton believes his greyhound Earn The Frank is a warranted $1.95 favourite in Race 3 at The Meadows tonight after drawing Box 1.

Coming off a luckless last start performance from Box 5, Earn The Frank is lining up in a heat over 600m at 7.07pm.

“He loves the inside and besides last week he has been jumping better. If he comes out, I think he should be right up there,” Britton said.

“He has been bouncing around full of confidence over the last few weeks.”

Britton believes that Weblec Jack, trained by his uncle Jeff Britton, looms as a threat.

“Weblec Jack would have to the main danger in the race. He has put in some really good performances over the middle distances of late and if he crosses to the lead he will take a bit of catching,” he added.

The first of 12 races kicks off tonight at 6.29pm.

WATCH: Earn The Frank (1) leads all the way over 600m at The Meadows three starts ago in a slick 34.32sec.
