Bound for success

Bound To Succeed boasts a winning strike rate of 71%. His trainer Noel Massina sits at an impressive 67%.

The duo will tackle the $10,000 to-the-winner Shepparton Classic final on Saturday night.

“It’s a strong field, especially with the likes of Zambora Smokey (Box 1) and Gentleman Thief (Box 5),” Massina said.

Massina believes that Bound To Succeed has drawn a lot better in box two.

“If the red misses the start like he did last week I think this will give Bound To Succeed the space to lead and hopefully win.”

Bound To Succeed has had three starts for two wins at the Shepparton track, his only defeat being last week in the heats where he found trouble.

“He was unlucky last week but he is a great chaser and a model of consistency who continues to put impressive times on the board.”

The son of Dyna Double One and Marley Sprite is owned by the Groover Syndicate who have owned a couple of dogs in the past.

“I have been involved in the sport for 50 odds years and I am really enjoying watching the boys (Groover Syndicate) have so much fun with Bound To Succeed.”
