Vale John Waugh

Long-serving Sale GRC President John Waugh has passed away.

A member of the Sale GRC since the late 1980s, Waugh was invited to join the committee in 1994, becoming vice-president in 1995 and president in 1998, a position he held for over 20 years.

John was recognised for his efforts in the greyhound racing industry when awarded the Ken Carr Medal in 2013 for his outstanding contribution to the Victorian greyhound racing industry.

Updated funeral details:
Requiem Mass for the Repose of the Soul of Mr Kenneth John (John) Waugh will be offered at St Mary’s Catholic Cathedral, Pearson St Sale on Friday January 17 2020 commencing at 2pm.

At the conclusion of Mass the Cortege will leave the Church for the Sale Lawn Cemetery.
