Sale meeting transferred

Sale’s Tuesday 7 January meeting has been transferred to Warragul due to the catastrophic bushfire conditions in Gippsland.

The Sale Greyhound Racing Club kennels continue to house dogs affected by the bushfires.

“Instead of leaving the decision to cancel the Sale meeting next week, we feel it is better to be proactive and make alternative arrangements especially considering the declaration of A State Of Disaster by Premier Daniel Andrews,” General Manager Racing Greg Kerr said.

“The objective is to keep the dog’s welfare as our priority in the safety of the kennels at Sale and our thanks goes out to the Club during this difficult time.”

“I would also like to thank the Warragul Greyhound Racing Club and their manager, Adrian Scott, for taking on the additional race meeting during their busy Warragul Cup series.”

Make sure you keep up to date with the bushfire emergency in the Gippsland Region through the VIC Emergency Website or Google Play.
