The Shine is back

Shima Shine returns to the track after five weeks on the sidelines for the Group 1 Feikuai Greyhounds Silver Chief heats at The Meadows on Saturday night.

The 450m metre Ballarat track record holder missed out on a rug in the TAB Melbourne Cup after running second to Campini in November.

Following a freshen up, Shima Shine has drawn box four in heat three of the Silver Chief.

Shima Shine has had just the one start at The Meadows in the Group 1 invitational Topgun where he finished sixth after finding trouble on the first turn.

Saturday night will see eight heats of the 2019 Group 1 Feikuai Greyhounds Silver Chief run and won, with just the winners making it through to the $100,000 to-the-winner final which will be run on Saturday 4 January.
