SATURDAY SUPERHERO – GET IT GIZMO

Has The Watchdog gone out on a limb with his top pick in the Group 3 Warragul St Leger over 460 metres at Warragul tonight?

GRV’s form analyst has selected Get It Gizmo to snare the $25,000 first prize, and he is priced at $3.20 with tab.com.au in a very open race.

And there’ll be plenty of punters supporting his assessment. You see, the figures indeed stack up in Get It Gizmo’s favour.

Under the astute guidance of effervescent mentor Harry Manolitsis, Get It Gizmo (box three) has a 50 per cent winning strike rate, with five wins from 10 starts. He also recently contested the Group 1 Maturity Classic final (525m) at The Meadows.

And although he finished second in his St Leger heat, Get It Gizmo was the third fastest qualifier (25.69sec) on overall times – only a half-length slower than Jeffrey Britton-trained Weblec Ace, who set the time standard of 25.66sec. (Britton has four finalists in the age-restricted feature.)

It’s pertinent to note that Get It Gizmo has a 25.61sec personal best at Warragul.

Check out Get It Gizmo’s 25.61sec best of night victory, from box seven, at Warragul on June 4:
