Break down at Benalla

There was no Benalla Cup winner on Sunday June 2, after the Benalla meeting was abandoned after a lure breakdown which was unable to be repaired on the day.

The first round of the Benalla Cup and three matches of Event 2 were run before the lure breakdown.

After the first round the Benalla Cup contenders included;
– Gojek (defeated Gotham Queen)
– Bear Left (defeated Lonesome Spring)
– Raloo Barbara (defeated Bees On Fire)
– It’s A Diva (defeated Alcantara)

Prizemoney for the Benalla Cup and remaining events will be split amongst the greyhounds still in contention at the time of abandonment.

The Derby and Oaks Classic is the next meeting to be held at Benalla on July 20 and 21.

Lang Lang will conduct the next coursing meeting on Sunday June 16.
