Sennachie looks to go one better

Classy young Victorian sprinter Sennachie will be chasing his first group win when he lines up in tonight’s Group 2 Queensland Derby (520m) at Albion Park at 9.13pm.

Trained by Steve White, Sennachie has won seven of his 14 career starts and ran 2nd in the Group 1 Silver Chief Classic final at The Meadows in January.

The son of Fernando Bale and Rhonda Rocks was narrowly beaten when running second in his heat last week, but is one of the favourites at $2.80 with tab.com.au.

Fellow Victorian Onions O’Reilly (David Burnett) scored an impressive come from behind win in his heat but has been scratched from tonight’s final.
