Prize money boost for Victorian coursing

Victorian coursing will receive a significant prize money boost for the 2018 season, bringing it into line with Level 3 (Tier 3) prizemoney.

With the 2018 season to officially kick off at Benalla on Sunday, Greyhound Racing Victoria has announced that prize money across the entire season will increase by almost $40,000 from $127,965 up to $167,635.

2018 Victorian coursing prize money – standard events

(ie. Maiden, One win Stake, Limit Stake & Puppy events)
$825 (1st); $235 (Runner-up); $60 (Defeated semi-finalists). Total $1180

Sunday’s meeting will comprise of 12 events, with preference given to maiden greyhounds of all ages.

Note:  Coursing maidens are greyhounds who have not won a Coursing Event.
