GIPPSLAND CARNIVAL: Leaderboard update & latest TAB markets

TAB’s markets for the Gippsland Carnival’s sprinting and staying streams are starting to take shape following the first legs being run and won on Boxing Day at Sale.

Dundee Osprey has shortened into $4.00 second favouritism to win the distance stream after winning the Sale Cup and rocketing to the top of the leaderboard with 24 points, but trainer Geoff Scott-Smith was hesitant to commit to racing his triple Group 1 winner in the remaining staying legs of the Gippsland Carnival.

Aston Bolero’s win in the Sprint Launch at Sale sees him now a $10.00 favourite to win the Sprint stream. He shares the lead with Aussie Infrared ($12.00) on 22 points.
