Glass Roof Breaks Through

Glass Roof won the $3,180 Rodney Thorneycroft Memorial GRV Vic Bred Final at Healesville on Sunday for Anakie trainer Clint Capuano.

After gaining a start as a reserve, Glass Roof took out the tenth running of the event in 19.34 seconds and claimed a $2,225 first prize.

“I love racing at Healesville and was surprised to have gained a run from the reserve ranks, but am very pleased to win the event,” Capuano said.

The Thorneycroft family are well known in Healesville’s greyhound racing community with both Margaret & Ron (parents) and older brother Gary also being Life members of the Club.

“The whole family has been involved with the Club since its inception and have filled many roles throughout that time,” said Healesville GA Manager, Cynthia O’Brien.

The daughter of Brett Lee and West On Bluebird’s victory in the Healesville feature was her ninth win from 28 career starts, she is also the litter sister to Angela Langton’s seasoned group 1 performer Shared Equity.
