Trainer Cameron Bahen was ideally hoping for an outside draw in Wednesday night’s Warrnambool Cup final with Mystery Ride, however he has come up with the coveted box number one.
“His best chance is from the outside draw,” commented Bahen (pictured above with Mystery Ride) immediately after his greyhound’s heat win.
He shouldn’t be too disheartened by the fall of the marbles, however, as Mystery Ride has had two starts in the red rug for a win and a second, with both races being in maiden class.
The Yuroke greyhound also has a sizzling win at The Meadows from box 2 to his credit in 29.77sec.
