Spots Hot Up for Crack at Ready 2 Race Windfall

The race for places in the Ready 2 Race final at Sandown Park on Shootout night (November 6) is super tight, with a host of greyhounds still in the running to secure their place in the $35,500 race.

The top 8 prize money earners from (and since) the 2014 R2R Sales (as at 31 October, 2015) will be eligible to compete in the 515m race, and while a significant gap of almost $5,000 separates the eighth and ninth placed greyhounds, the unavailability of the ill-fated Calder Cannon (currently 4th) has kept the door ajar for several others.

The likes of Vermont ($14,760), Pocket Kings ($14,030), Waterfront ($13,490), Argenta ($12,785) and Little Pookie ($12,575) are all still well and truly in contention to secure a spot in the $25,000 to-the-winner race.

Incidentally, no less than 35 greyhounds sold at the 2014 R2R Sales have since earned at least $5,000 in prize money so far.
