Video: Rising to the Occasion of Warrnambool Cup Night

Have you ever wondered about the pressure of having an odds-on favourite in a greyhound race?

Couple that with the added expectation that goes with the race being held on your local racetrack’s biggest race night of the year.

That is the exact scenario Dustin Drew was faced with when his exciting young prospect Lonesome Boy went around as the $1.30 favourite on Warrnambool Cup night in May.

“Racing is huge at Warrnambool at this time of year with the horses (racing), and Cup night is greyhound racing’s biggest night of the year,” Drew said.

GRVextra followed Drew and Lonesome Boy throughout the entire night, with the race bringing almost as much excitement as the Warrnambool Cup & Classic races themselves.
