This Saturday night ‘The Meadows’ lights up with a stunning night of greyhound racing.

The best of the best come together over all distances, with the program consisting of eight electric heats of the ATC Australian Cup and a further four heats of Superstayers.

The first due at 7.15pm looks a cracking heat of the Australian Cup with an even array of class from all eight boxes.

We move to second race in which I really like the chances of the recent Shepparton Cup winner Azza Azza Azza (3).
His last start win was simply outstanding as the replay shows below. He showed a clear liking for the inside and his early pace working hard around Weblec Belle (5) was top class. From the better draw I think he will be running a super race with the in-form Fernando Bale (2) his obvious danger.

The third of the night looks as though Space Star (1) will be continuing his terrific run of form from the inside draw which is far from his favourite alley being a natural looping wide runner.

We then move to Heat two of the Group 1 Superstayers and I’m super keen on Lady Toy (1), pictured above. In the G1 Zoom top she jumped from box 2, and as seen in the replay, going to the first corner she was sitting, waiting for the inside run which never came. From the inside alley she should step with them and put herself into a winning position with tip top mid-race pace she should prove way too good.

Watch: Lady Toy (2) had no luck in the Zoom Top last Saturday night.

Race 8 see’s the multiple recent Group 1 winner My Bro Fabio exit box number (7).

He is no doubt the fastest, classiest dog in the race but I do fear he could be in trouble at and around the first corner.

With Kiss Me Ketut (1) likely to be crashing wide at the first bend and Diva’s Shadow (8) crashing in early, My Bro Fabio may be looking for a large amount of luck. My Bro Fabio’s win in the Group 1 Temlee last week showed his field sense is second to none but he will need all his talent to get him home and he may be a risk at the short price ($1.60).

The terrific night of top class racing concludes at 10.57pm, with the sprinters looking for a spot in the Group 1 Australian Cup, worth $250,000 to the winner and the stayers looking for their place in the $155,000 Superstayers final.

It’s sure to be a classic night of greyhound racing.
