The ‘Kids Sensational Summer’ program – which was run by Greyhound Racing Victoria over the Christmas school holidays with the help of the Victorian State Government and Kelly Sports – wrapped up on Monday 26 January.

All 12 of Victoria’s currently operational race clubs hosted this great summer holiday program with thousands of children and their families descending to their local greyhound racing club to enjoy the free entertainment and food.

As part of the fun activities on track, there was a competition that parents and their children could enter to win a family Gold Coast holiday valued at $4,000 from Flight Centre. Every person that went into the draw had the chance to win this amazing prize!

The random draw was conducted on Tuesday 3 February and GRV would like to congratulate Donna Tkalcevic and her family for winning the 2015 Sensational Summer Competition. Donna entered her family into the chance draw at Sandown and was very surprised when she was notified last week about being the winner, saying “we never win anything”.

Donna had her two children, Teagan, 10 and Hayden, 8 on track at Sandown along with some family friends where they all “had a great time”.
