Above All has been voted December’s People’s Choice for Greyhound of the Month, winning 41 per cent of votes.
The New Zealand bred superstar was automatically nominated based on his brilliant win in the Group 1 Hobart Thousand last month, and he defeated a field that included Lamia Bale, Luca Neveelk, Keybow and Star Recall.
The Robert Britton-trained greyhound has since won a second Group 1, the Silver Chief Classic at The Meadows on 3 January.
Britton has described Above All as “one of the most tenacious greyhounds I’ve ever trained”, while breeder Merv O’Brien said his success would inspire Kiwi breeders to strive to win the richest races on offer in Australia.
Congratulations to Kim Johnstone, Len Jones, Georgina Hamilton, Linda Philips and Tony Schultz, who have each won a double movie pass simply by voting.
