GRV to Administer Healesville Operations

Greyhound Racing Victoria (GRV) will administer the Healesville Greyhound Racing Club (HGRC) at the Club Committee’s request.

This follows the 2014 Annual General Meeting where only three persons were elected to the committee.  The newly elected committee approached GRV and expressed concern that it may not have appropriate resources to ensure that the club reached its maximum potential.

The financial state of the Club is very sound and other key racing metrics are also very positive.

The operations of the Club will be overseen by GRV’s General Manager – Clubs and Membership Development, Craig Armstead.   The Club Manager, Cynthia O’Brien, will continue in her role.

This is an interim measure and GRV will cease to administer the club as soon as it is practical to do so.
