Nockabout Aussie Free to Compete in Bendigo Cup

Following Race 8 at Sandown Park last night, greyhound Nockabout Aussie was placed on a satisfactory trial by Stewards for failing to pursue the lure with due commitment by reason of injury. The greyhound received a three-day veterinary stand down.

The trainer of this greyhound has lodged an appeal with the independent Racing Appeals and Disciplinary Board (RADB) and acting under local racing rule 23.5, the RADB has suspended the operation of this decision until such time that an appeal can be heard by the RADB.

In effect, this means that the greyhound, Nockabout Aussie, will be free to compete in Sunday’s Bendigo Cup heats.
