OLLIE BALE WINS SILVER CHIEF

The Andrea Dailly-trained Ollie Bale (box eight – $6.90) won the first Group One of 2014 last night at The Meadows, taking home the $100,000 first-prize in the AJS Corporation Silver Chief.

The race was built as an extremely open affair, with anyone of the eight finalists a chance to win the age and sex restricted classic.

The son of Go Wild Teddy and Zambora Bale, was one of two finalists for the Dailly team and is the first ever Silver Chief winner for the dominant training outfit from Anakie.

Ollie Bale won in a time of 30.19 seconds, in front of Peter Akathiotis
