The Glenn Dainton-trained Bookkeeper (8) recorded the sensational time of 34.05sec in a heat of the Group 1 Hume Cup (600m), lowering Nellie Noodles’ 34.07sec track record, which stood more than three years.
In all six heats were conducted on Saturday night (Topgun night) ahead of the final, which will be run on Monday week Cup Eve.
