BACK WITH A BANG

ALI’S PROFITABLE RETURN TO FORM

Following a run of 25 starts without a win, Born Ali has won a Grade 5 heat and final over 600m at The Meadows.

She won her heat in the impressive time of 34.35sec, before following up with a gutsy victory on 19 October in 34.71sec.

Trained by Robert Britton for Noel Mugavin, Born Ali (Velocette – Born Princess), a TAB Great Chase finalist in 2012, has now had 54 starts for nine wins and 20 minor placings.

Saturday night’s win secured a cool $12,000 first prize plus $2,400 GOBIS bonus, with her career earnings now surpassing $80,000.
