BARKING UP THE RIGHT TREE

Simon Barker is once again enjoying the challenge of training a team of greyhounds.

For the past five years the Elphingstone trainer had been restricted to training only one or two greyhounds at a time as he assumed the role of full-time carer of his sick father.

Now with his kennel back in the full swing he is looking to again make his mark on the sport.

Helping him in his mission is a highly promising young greyhound named Athletica, who is the one to beat in Friday night
