TRAINING MASTERSTROKE

Spud Regis with performer Andrew De Silva, Andrea, George & Tom Dailly.

“HOLIDAY” THE CATALYST FOR AUSTRALIAN CUP WIN

Spud Regis made the Group 1 Maurice Blackburn Lawyers Australian Cup his own on Saturday night when exploding from box 1 and never looking back in front of the biggest crowd seen at a Victorian greyhound meeting in over a decade.

The greyhound named after AFL legend Danny Frawley is now a dual-Group 1 winner after defeating El Brooklyn and Hot Irish in front of 5,500 people.

In an incredible turnaround in form, the Andrea Dailly-trained Spud Regis has now won three in a row after enduring eight consecutive defeats since his Adelaide Cup win in October.

His form reversal was triggered by a trip to WA for the Perth Cup, which proved a masterstroke by the Dailly team.
