FAREWELL TO A TRUE GENTLEMAN
Popular greyhound racing identity, Des Carlson of Lyndhurst, passed away last Monday, aged 81.
A father of seven including two sets of twins, Des was a staunch loving family man who loved the Carlton Football Club and was a butcher by trade.
Close friend Mick Gibilisco, a Director at the Sandown GRC, spoke fondly of Des, who trained a lot of his greyhounds over the years.
