The OPENING RACE (Race 1) at the new Ballarat Greyhound Racing track on Wednesday 3 October will be an all local affair with greyhounds from the following postcodes eligible to nominate:

3350, 3351, 3352, 3353, 3354, 3355, 3356, 3357 and 3363.

To be eligible for the race all greyhounds must be domiciled in one of these post codes for the past 30 days.

Prizemoney for the event is:

1^st: $2,000
2^nd: $570
3^rd: $285

In addition to this, the winner will forever hold the honour of being the first winner at the new Ballarat track.

Nominations close this Friday 28 September at Midday.
