MELTON NEWS

The Melton straight track, which holds weekly trial sessions on Saturday mornings, will close its track over the Mothers Day weekend (May 12 & 13).

The club will however be conducting a Working Bee on Saturday 12 May, and is encouraging volunteers to bring along tools such as wheel barrows, rakes, brooms, whippersnippers, paint brushes, buckets and mops to assist with general maintenance and cleaning.

The work is being done in preparation for Melton’s first coursing event of the season, to be held on Saturday 2 June.

Melton has consistently conducted more than 40 trials in recent weekends, emphasising the growing faith trainers have in the grass venue.
