CAPE HAWKE RETURNS

Talented sprinter, Cape Hawke, returns tonight in his heat of the rich Warrnambool Classic.

The Jamie Ennis trained speedster returns after an enforced break due to injury.

Cape Hawke set the track alight at the beginning of his career running a staggering 29.14 at Sandown Park (515m) in what was then track-record time.

He has a career record of 26 starts for 14 wins and three placings.

Ennis said on Tuesday that Cape Hawke is ready for his return to the track, adding that he has been trialing extremely well.
