Eddie McGuire’s greyhound, the aptly named Hot Seat [$10.50], ran second on debut at Sandown Park last Sunday.
Despite being slow to begin and finding interference throughout the 515m journey, the Dave Curtain-trained greyhound managed an encouraging placing, being beaten by four and half lengths by Sonic Legend [$18.50], with Wonaeamirri [$2.00Fav] third.
Sonic Legend recorded a steady winning time of 30.33sec.
