Grey Areas | George and his slow stayer

It wouldn’t be a Friday afternoon without Grey Areas, and this week Jason Adams and George Farrugia were in fine form – equal parts racing chat, equal parts taking the P155 (as Jason would say).

The boys unpacked Victoria’s domination in Queensland overnight, with Canya Mayhem stealing the show after a nail-biting Group 1 win to become the 24th greyhound to crack the $1 million prizemoney mark.

Looking ahead, George has planted his flag on Intrepidis to break through for his first Group race win in tonight’s Sportsbet Warragul Cup.

While Western Australian talent – West On Sidney – will have a hit-out between races at The Meadows tomorrow night as part of his build-up to the Sportsbet Australian Cup Carnival.

The Farrugia Files returned in all its glory, headlined by a painfully slow win from one of George’s own stayers – a run so unforgettable it even earned him a cheeky drive-by from race caller James Van de Maat.

With the Sportsbet Warragul Cup night upon us tonight and the Sportsbet Australian Cup Carnival kicking off next Saturday, the timing couldn’t be better. Tune in, have a laugh, and as always – back George’s dogs he is brave enough to pot.

George’s Superbowl set

  • Both quarterbacks to throw an interception
  • Hunter Henry for the New England Patriots to score a touchdown at anytime
  • National Anthem to go over 119.5 seconds
  • Heads in the coin toss
  • Gatorade to be blue on the winning coach
