GRV mourns the loss of Stephen Baldwin

It is with deep sadness that Greyhound Racing Victoria acknowledges the passing of our colleague and GRV lure driver Stephen Baldwin, who tragically died during last Thursday’s race meeting at Shepparton.

Stephen was a highly respected and valued member of our team and the broader Victorian greyhound racing community. His contribution over more than 30 years was felt most strongly in the state’s north, particularly at the Bendigo and Shepparton Greyhound Racing Clubs.

GRV extends its heartfelt condolences to Stephen’s family, friends, and colleagues during this incredibly difficult time. Our thoughts are with them, and we have offered our support as they navigate this loss.

Out of respect for Stephen and to support his loved ones, as well as GRV and club staff affected by his passing, Friday’s scheduled Northern Districts Cup meeting at Shepparton was postponed to today. On Thursday, race five of Shepparton’s card will be the Vale Stephen Baldwin in honour of Stephen.

We ask that everyone please respect the privacy of Stephen’s family at this time.
