The Stir Up | September 28 Edition

GRV’s Peter Quilty, Gerard Guthrie and Trent Langskaill provide their thoughts on some of the star greyhounds racing in Victoria.

Keep an eye on these, they are worth saving in your WatchDog Blackbook!

Quilts Gents, we have another busy few days and nights coming up with top chasing in Victoria and some of our biggest stars going around in Adelaide and Sydney.

Gerard You’re spot on, Quilts. Schillaci has already booked his berth in next Friday night’s Group 1 Adelaide Cup Final, but he will almost certainly face other Victorian greyhounds.

Trent Brooke and Jamie Ennis will play a significant role with their Group 1 winners Amron Boy and Launch Code tonight. It is great to see Amron Boy return after a seven-week break.

Quilts The big names don’t stop there, Trent. Afire is a recent Speed Star champion, Big Energy has unlimited ability, and Crackerjack Bull was brilliant at Warragul last Friday night.

Gerard Jeff Britton has three entrants in the Adelaide Cup heats, while Jason Thompson has Pink Diamond winners Navarino and Transponder in the third and fourth heats respectively.

Trent Baby Jaycee is back at Sandown Park tonight for the first time since claiming the Group 1 Sapphire Crown in May. The Warragul St Leger winner Professor Snitch will be a formidable foe.

Quilts Can Unleash Collinda bounce back from a surprise heat defeat in Sunday night’s Sale Sprint Championship Final? He can ill-afford to miss the start again judging by the quality of the field.

Gerard I can understand your line of questioning, Quilts. Skinny Olive and My Neo are impressive chasers and The Sandgroper winner Crumble Monelli sizzled in his heat.

Trent We cannot forget that heats for the Great Chase commence on Friday and then Victorian sprinters will be eyeing Million Dollar Chase semi-final spots on Saturday night.

Quilts and Gerard, good luck to your Magpies in the AFL Grand Final on Saturday as well. I’m sure you are both hoping the result is not as stressful as the preliminary final against GWS.
