Without A Trace etched her name among the sport’s elite tonight, capturing her first Group 1 title with a brilliant all-the-way victory in the Sportsbet Topgun Stayers at The Meadows.
Prepared by the husband-and-wife Team Presutto – Peter and Natalie – the rising staying star pinged the lids, took control immediately, and never looked back.
She went on to score in a slick 42.27 seconds defeating Ayden’s Warrior and Late Night News.
The moment meant everything for the Devon Meadows based family, with trainer Peter Presutto visibly emotional post-race.
“I don’t cry a lot but I am getting pretty close to tears now,” Presutto said.
“This is what we do it for – the pressure was really on tonight and she performed. I just love her.”
“I want to thank the owners for giving us the opportunity, it was a big win for us.”
The result was more than just a Group 1 trophy. It was the celebration of two families riding the journey together – the Presutto’s and the Puleio’s – and the true essence of what greyhound racing is built on: families, support crews, hard work and shared success.
Tonight, Without A Trace not only confirmed her status as a genuine staying force – she delivered a moment that will live forever for those closest to her.
A Group 1 winner. A family moment. And a new star has arrived.
