Deadly Avenger scratched, Topgun finally set

Deadly Avenger has been scratched from tonight’s Topgun at The Meadows.

He was withdrawn early this morning after sustaining a minor injury yesterday.

It means that second reserve and New South Wales’ powerhouse Jungle Johnny will gain a start.

He will jump from box 6 while first reserve Slick Splits will jump from box 4, after the scratching of Power And Glory on Wednesday.

After a week of dramatic scratchings in both Topgun events, the scene is finally set for the opening night of Dream Chasers.

All of the action will be live around Australia on Racing.com from 6.15pm.
