Tribeca Breaks Through for Maiden Group Victory in the Silver Bullet

Tribeca announced himself as a genuine player on the big stage tonight – claiming his first Group race victory in the Group 3 Silver Bullet (525m) at The Meadows.

Prepared by Brooke Ennis, the talented chaser launched from box eight, mustering quickly and sweeping around the field before powering away to land his first Group class win.

Tribeca first hit national attention during the maiden series across the Australian Cup Carnival earlier this year, where he went through the series undefeated and produced two best-of-the-night performances from his three runs.

He headed into tonight’s Silver Bullet after an unlucky fourth in the Group 2 Cranbourne Cup last start where early interference cruelled his chances.

Connections will now have their sights firmly set on a big summer ahead, with Tribeca expected to play a major role throughout the 2025 Sportsbet Dream Chasers Festival – which launches this Saturday at The Meadows with the Group 1 Topgun, Topgun Stayers and Hume Cup.

A Melbourne Cup tilt now looms as a likely target.

Tribeca wins the Group 3 Silver Bullet over Topgun contender Smooth Plane in a time of 30.12 seconds.

Earlier in the night, six heats of the Hume Cup were also contested with Team Dailly emerging as the standout kennel of the series – winning three of the six heats.
