Dallan Klemke awarded Ned Bryant “Silver Fox”

Young trainer Dallan Klemke has been named the 2025 recipient of the Ned Bryant “Silver Fox” Award, recognising success of participants under 30.

Still only 25, Klemke has come from the humble beginnings of catching greyhounds at Bendigo during his school years, to branching out and taking training on himself. Currently based in Lara, he began his journey through hands-on experience with mentors who encouraged him to take his first steps in the sport.

He’s quick to acknowledge the guidance and support of fellow participants that’d led him to the position he’s in today. His journey started with the Chilcott family before transitioning to work at some of Victoria’s leading kennels.

Earlier this year he had his first taste of racing at the highest level with his own stayer Full Of Regrets, a finalist of the Group 1 Galaxy at Cannington.

“At the end of the day it’s all about the dogs. It’s been a journey, but it’s one I’m willing to continue on,” said Klemke.

With recent acquisitions of the famous Hallinan bred greyhounds, we’re sure to be seeing more of Klemke’s name in the future.
