Shepparton Vet Clinic Celebrates 10 Years

This month, the Shepparton Greyhound Vet Clinic celebrates 10 years of service to the local community.

Opening its doors in 2015, the clinic began with Dr Zoe Manning and Shepparton Greyhound Racing Club Manager Carl McGrath at the helm.

“We are very proud to provide this service to our local participants and our community,” said Shepparton Greyhound Racing Club President Tracey Fothergill.

“It’s a busy little clinic that not only supports the greyhound racing community with quality, cost-effective care but also services the wider local community.”

“From the beginning, we’ve been committed to offering high-quality veterinary care at a reasonable price, to ensure our community can provide the best for their animals.”

In 2019, the clinic welcomed highly respected and well-known greyhound vet Dr Sue Collins.

“Zoe did an outstanding job when we opened the clinic and was integral in building strong relationships with our local community,” McGrath said.

“Sue brought with her a wealth of experience in complex veterinary procedures, which allowed us to expand into more advanced services, including operations.”

The Shepparton Greyhound Racing Club remains committed to the ongoing development of the clinic while keeping costs accessible.

Part of that development, the Club is sending Carl and Sue to Ireland this year to the International Caine Sports Medicine Conference where they will also visit tracks to explore their facilities.

“We are committed to continuing to enhance our offerings at the Shepparton Vet Clinic,” Fothergill said.

The Shepparton Greyhound Vet clinic, which is currently open two days a week, holds a very special place in McGrath’s heart.

“In my 13 years at the Shepparton Greyhound Racing Club, operating this vet clinic has been my proudest achievement,” McGrath said.
