Explicit… Exceptional

Explicit goes back-to-back Ballarat Cups tonight with an all the way victory.

He stopped the clock in a time of 24.69 second and was less than a length outside the track record set by Hotel Whisky One at the start of the year.

Pre race favourite Gold Force finished second and Flying Zulu third.

Explicit returned to racing in March this year after retiring to stud following his Phoenix victory last year.

The Ballarat Cup win makes it group win number seven from his 42-start career.

Explicit is a son of Bernando and Brueghlino, bred by Des Douch, owned by Amanda Tullio and trained by Jason Thompson.

Team Thompson is well and truly on track for another record breaking year.

Explicit (7) wins the 2025 Ballarat Cup over the 450 metres in a time of 24.69 seconds.
