Rooney hones in early at Ballarat

Last Monday’s meeting at Ballarat was a demolition job for Nathan Rooney followers. Best bet, a next best and quaddie all saluted. His main successes have come at Tier 3 graded meetings – exactly what we’ve got ahead of us at Ballarat tonight.

He’s looking to hone in early with the three fancies in the opening three races.

Be sure to tune into RSN tonight for Nathan’s preview prior to every race, with the first to jump at 6.41pm.

Best – Race 3, MINI STAR (8)

She’s ideally drawn out wide. Second up this preparation and had little luck on resumption in a harder event when well supported. She was a winner last preparation at Geelong in a handy 22.62 seconds and placed at Bendigo in sub 24 seconds. She looks ideally placed in a Tier 3 event.

Next Best – Race 1, SHE’S RELOADED (5)

She’s placed in four from seven to start her career. Drops back to Tier 3 class after contesting a heat of the Shepparton Matchmakers last week. She has good early speed and maps to lead here. Based on a couple of Geelong placings recently this looks her race to break her maiden.

Next Best – Race 2, SUPER SIZE FRIES (5)

He was a good winner at Geelong to break his Maiden four runs back in 22.82 seconds. On that occasion he showed good early speed. He maps to lead this race and looks hard to beat.

Suggested Quaddie:

1,7,4 / 8,7,5 / 3,8,5,7 / 1,4,5,6

$144 = 100%
