Rooney on RSN – Best Bets

After his best and next best got the chocolates at Shepparton last night, form expert Nathan Rooney turns his attention to Tuesday’s staple meeting at Warragul. Here’s hoping for more of last week at Logan Park as his value play won at $10.

See his specials below and hear his thoughts before every race at Warragul on RSN with the first kicking off at 6.45pm.

Best – Race 9, DAINTREE CHIEF (4)

Ultra impressive on debut at Geelong, his first split of 8.21sec is fast and he ran 22.64sec overall. He hasn’t had much luck in his two starts since then, but finds a suitable race tonight where I think he can lead and be hard to beat.

Next Best – Race 11, OUTSMART (7)

Form this preparation has been very good including a win at Warrnambool recently in a solid time of 22.01sec. Looks like he’ll get a beautiful cart into the race with the likely leader drawn underneath him, from there he looks hard to beat.

Value – Race 6, GOT THE LOT (4)

Super win last week at Warragul in a sharp time of 22.48sec. His draw suits tonight as he has an extremely wide runner in Myall Jack (5) on his outside, that should give him plenty of room to lob in the first couple during the initial stages and from there looks destined to figure in the finish.
