Shepparton to reinstate 390m start

Commencing Tuesday 26 September, GRV and the Shepparton GRC will be reinstating the fixed 390-metre start with a view to commencing racing from the 390m distance on Thursday 5 October.

The Shepparton 385m drop-on boxes were introduced in conjunction with numerous other changes as a trial to improve injury rates and interference at the venue.

Following participant and club feedback, the decision has been made to revert back to the fixed 390m start to assess the impact this change alone has on interference, injury rate and track preparation.

The Tier 3 time standard for Shepparton’s 390m distance will be reinstated to 22.50sec.
