2021 Grassroots Regional Championships
The Grassroots Regional Championships is a new series developed by GRV to reward and support level 3 race meetings over sprint and staying distances.
The Grassroots Regional Sprint Championship is a three week series with heats held over each clubs standard distance. Four regional Semi-Finals will be conducted with a Grand Final at Ballarat.
The Grassroots Regional Distance Championship is a two week series with one heat held over each clubs staying distance with a Grand Final at Ballarat.

Conditions of entry
– S/E race type
– 275+ Rank
– Minimum 10 starts
– Maidens Ineligible
– Greyhounds from Warragul & Geelong will be selected as reserves for the Grand Final.
– Each greyhound is only eligible to compete in one set of heats.
– A greyhound under any order or prohibition under the rules of Greyhound Racing Victoria at the time of the box draw for the Grassroots Regional Championships, that will prohibit that greyhound from competing at Ballarat on Wednesday 22nd September 2021, will not be drawn. GRV will substitute in it’s place the next qualifier or as outlined otherwise in these conditions

Heats: $1,900 (1st); $550 (2nd); $275 (3rd).
Semi-Finals: $3,500 (1st); $1,000 (2nd); $500 (3rd).
Final: $7,000 (1st); $2,000 (2nd); $1,000 (3rd).
