‘Pot Black’ for Snooker Que

Pearcedale trainer Robert Crawford lines up with five runners at Geelong tonight.

And he’s confident at least one of his quintet should ‘snooker’ the opposition.

“Snooker Que is my best chance… He showed potential prior to having a bit of time on the sidelines,” Crawford said. “He should go alright.”

Below are Crawford’s prognostications on his ‘big five’.

Create A Scene, Race 1 Box 2, 7.09pm
“He’s a chance and is well boxed… But being a first starter, he obviously lacks race experience.”
The Watchdog says: Is a well-bred type and his dam line produced the classy One For Me.

Snooker Que, Race 2 Box 7, 7.27pm
“He’s had a few niggling issues and is on the comeback trail… It depends on how he jumps and where he is early, but he’s definitely a top chance.”
The Watchdog says: Has the speed to cross early on, can threaten.

Jackson County, Race 3 Box 4, 7.47pm
“The trip is a bit short for him… But if he comes out like he did earlier this week at Geelong, he’s a good chance… Fingers crossed.”
The Watchdog says: Speared the lids in his heat win, harder tonight.

Zianna Rose, Race 5 Box 7, 8.27pm (pictured)
“She’s drawn inside out as she needs the fence… She has got the early speed but is up in class.”
The Watchdog says: Another keen railer, too hard from out here.

Major Pursuit, Race 8 Box 7, 9.27pm

“He’ll be slightly underdone as he’s only just returned after a month off… I would have preferred an inside draw… He’s a rough place hope.”
The Watchdog says: Better than his past two runs, put in exotics.
