The perfect opportunity to Catch on to Coursing

If you’ve never coursed a greyhound or have a greyhound that has little or no coursing experience, this Sunday’s Catch on to Coursing  meeting at Longwood could be just for you.

This is an introduction to Victoria’s 2018 coursing season, and gives greyhounds and trainers the opportunity to gain valuable experience on the coursing circuit.

Greyhounds will course up to two times on the day, giving trainers the chance to assess whether their greyhounds are suited to coursing, which will distribute more than $130,000 in prize money during the 2018 season.

Up to 80 nominations will be accepted for Sunday’s meeting, with preference given to Puppy and Maiden nominations. Nominations close on Thursday 12 April at 8:30am with GRV Fasttrack.

In 2018, Puppy class greyhounds are those born on or after 1 March, 2016, with eligible greyhounds able to race in that grade for the entire season.
