A little bit more about Noel Banks:

Noel Banks was devoted to coursing and spent a great amount of his time ensuring that this age old sport survived. He was the keeper of the Stud Book and Secretary of the NCA for 17 years. His breeding knowledge was second to none having bred 11 Waterloo Cup Winners, Trained 6 Waterloo Cup winners, he was a member of the then Greyhound Racing Control Board now known as Greyhound Racing Victoria for 24 years and on the Executive of the NCA for 14 years.

When live hare coursing was prohibited, Noel along with some other dedicated Coursing men and women worked hard to find an alternative, which is the drag lure system we use at many of the tracks today.

These people along with Noel undertook their passion as volunteers, as is the case today.
