MCKENNA MEMORIAL HEATS WRAP


Great Chase winner Boris Fields progressed to the final of the McKenna Memorial last night.

Irma Bale (click here to view replay) is on track to defend her McKenna Memorial title after a brilliantly winning her heat at Sandown Park tonight. 

The defending McKenna Memorial champion was headed early by Hawk Alone, however the Sandown Park specialist stuck to the rail and powered to the line to defeat the dead heaters Hurricane Isaac and Amadeus Strikes by 4 lengths in 34.42.

The win was the 36th of Irma Bale
