2016 Group 1 Golden Easter Egg Tops Off A Massive 48 Hours For Thompson Kennel

Jason Thompson (Pictured with Moreira (Brindle) and Xtreme Knocka) has capped off a massive 48 hours at Wentworth Park with Moreira taking out the Group 1 $344,000 Golden Easter Egg (520m).

Moreira worked hard on the rails from box 1, taking the lead from fellow Victorian Asa Killa Queen (box 6).

Thursday night on home soil, Jason Thompson claimed victory in the Group 2 Launching Pad at Sandown Park, just 48 hours later kennel mate Moreira did one better.

Victorian greyhounds have dominated the Golden Easter Egg at Wentworth Park, taking the group 1 title seven years running.

The Dailly kennel kicked off a fantastic night of racing at Wentworth Park taking out the $25,000 Ambrosoli from box eight.

Taking advantage of trouble on the rail, Marley Bale had the Ambrosoli shot to bits, winning the 520 metre race in a time of 29.60sec paying $6.70 for the win.
