Minister for Racing Confirms Appointment of New GRV Chairman

The Andrews Labor Government today confirmed the appointment of Bernie Carolan as the new Chair of Greyhound Racing Victoria.

Minister for Racing Martin Pakula said Mr Carolan brought a wealth of experience to his new role and would lead reform across Victoria’s greyhound racing industry.

Mr Carolan’s experience in leadership roles includes CEO of the Transport Ticketing Authority and CEO of Metlink Victoria.

Mr Carolan joins GRV at an exciting time for the greyhound racing industry as it undertakes significant reforms to improve integrity and animal welfare across the sport.

He replaces Ray Gunston, who has recently taken on a full-time position at the AFL, but will remain on the Board until the end of September in order to provide continuity.
