RSN’s People’s Choice Greyhound of the Month has returned for 2015, with the April contenders listed below.

Voting is now open, with the competition restricted to Victorian-trained greyhounds that won at Group level during that particular month.

Cast your vote for one of the eight greyhounds in contention for your chance to win one of five double movie passes.

Fernando Bale

The Golden Easter Egg is the richest Australian greyhound race outside Victoria, and Fernando Bale dominated the series in 2015, running the equal fastest heat time, the fastest semi, and then blitzing the $250K to the winner final by more than four lengths. REPLAY

Was at his brilliant best on Golden Easter Egg night, pulling out all the stops to run down fellow Victorian, the super-strong Lady Toy. Continued his domination of the staying ranks with a win in the Gold Cup three weeks later. REPLAY
Usain I’m Nutty

Won: Group 3 The Ambrosoli (520m) at Wentworth Park.
Versatile front-runner Lamia Bale captured the third group race win of her career when taking out The Ambrosoli at Wentworth Park, which is a Golden Easter Egg consolation race. REPLAY


Sisco Rage

Won: Group 3 The Racecallers (595m) at Sandown Park.
Showed enormous class and strength to win the Racecallers, and in doing do landed his first group win at his 88th career start. Matched motors with the brilliant Lamia Bale early before taking control of the race and winning by a length from Waymore’s Blues. REPLAY

Dzeko Lizrene

Won: Group 3 Lizrene (715m) at Sandown Park.
Dzeko came from midfield to win the Best 8 staying event at the big odds of $12.10. This was her first group win, and she scored by less than a length over renowned swooper Sweet It Is. REPLAY
