Vale Charlie Micallef

The greyhound racing industry is saddened at the loss of leading Sunshine breeder Charlie Micallef.

Charlie was involved in greyhound racing since 1972 as an owner, trainer, and most prominently as a breeder.

Some of the best greyhounds he bred over the years include New Wish, New Tivoli, Spalding Miss, New Tibur and New Year’s Punch, the latter being part-owned by former AFL stars Brad Johnson and Rohan Smith.
